Library services are available to support you with finding and managing access to resources to support the courses you are teaching, and with supporting your students to develop their information and digital literacy skills.

Resourcing your Courses

Module Resource Lists - support with using Module Resource List to manage access to resources for your students

One Search Library Catalogue - search for online and print resources available from the library

A-Z Databases - explore the range of databases and specialist resources available for you and your students to use

Request a scan of a chapter, article or extract for use in teaching

Requesting New Resources - discuss additional resources that may be needed for your courses

Copyright & Licensing for Teaching - find out how to avoid common copyright issues when you are teaching and preparing course materials

Clinical Skills & Simulations - evidence sources to support clinical skills and simulations activities

Developing Students' Information & Digital Literacy

Make an appointment with one of our Learning and Teaching Librarians to discuss Information Literacy Classes or training resources for your students. Potential options include:

  • Using subject databases
  • Search skills
  • Evaluating resources
  • Referencing
  • Using Generative AI
  • Copyright for students

Students can be directed to any campus library info point for support with using MSOffice packages (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) to present their work. Contact library@uws.ac.uk for more details.
