EndNote: OneSearch

Use EndNote to gather and organise references for your assignments and projects

Adding from One Search

Firstly, open your EndNote Library.

Sign in to One Search and run a search as normal.  If unsure, see our One Search guide.

To export an individual item:

  1. From the list of results, click either the ellipses (three dots) icon or the title to display the edit options:

    Edit options

  2. Select the Export RIS icon to add the item details to your EndNote library.
  3. A pop-up Encoding window will appear.  Select UTF-8 then select Download.
  4. In some browsers, the file window will appear at the bottom of the screen.  Choose Open File to activate the export.
  5. Your EndNote library will now display the selected item.

Note: there may be some duplication so you may need to edit the EndNote record.

To export multiple items,

  1. Add each relevant item to your My Favourites list - click the pin icon next to the item.
  2. Go to your My Favourites (Marked list) - Select the Pin icon on the menu bar.
  3. Select either the individual relevant items, or check the Select all box.
  4. On the My Favourites heading bar, select the three dots icon.
  5. Select the Export-RIS icon and follow steps 3, 4 and 5 for exporting an individual item.
