This includes:

  • Academics working on publication materials.
  • Educators who provide support to students in their writing endeavors.
  • Students working on a range of assignments, from shorter pieces to extensive projects.
  • Academic administrators seeking to offer support to academics or enhance their own writing skills.

AcWriMo 2023 - Reflecting on Our Successes!

Throughout the week, the University of the West of Scotland #AcWriMo sessions provided a comprehensive exploration of essential aspects in academic writing and research. Topics included collaborative writing in higher education, constructing effective search queries, Open Access publishing, leveraging research data analysis tools like SCOPUS and SciVal, and effective communication of research impact through the media. The sessions collectively offered valuable insights into collaborative writing processes, literature searching strategies, the benefits of Open Access, optimal use of research data tools, and impactful communication in academia.

We engaged with 66 people across the week who and look forward to engaging with more members of the UWS research community in 2024 and beyond!
