Welcome to the Library - 45 minutes

How do I attend?

You will need to log in with your UWS e-mail address and password to access the form. If you are accessing this from a work PC, you may need to log out of your work Office account to view the form.

The booking confirmation screen will include the link to the Zoom meeting if you wish to copy and paste it in your online calendar, and we will also email you a reminder before the session including the Zoom link.

When are the sessions?

There are no sessions scheduled this term. However, introductory information about the Library is available in our Welcome to the Library Guide. You are also welcome to book an online or in person appointment with an Academic Librarian to discuss how the Library can help with resources for your studies.

Who's this session for?

This session is for anyone who is new to UWS Library or those who would like a refresher on getting started using the Library.

What will the session cover?

This 45-minute session will cover:

  • An overview of Library services and resources
  • A demonstration of how to find a print book or e-book and journal articles in the library catalogue One Search
  • Where to find the referencing guidance and online library subject guides for your study
