EndNote Online

Tips on using EndNote Online to manage your references

Adding from EBSCOhost Research Platform

In the EBSCOhost database(s), search as usual.  If unsure, see the EBSCOhost research platform guide.

From the results screen,

  1. Select the "Add to Folder" icon next to each relevant entry. Note: you can change the number of items on display in Page options and can use the Share icon to add all entries on the page to the folder.  These options appear on the right just under the search boxes.
  2. When ready, select 'Folder View'.
  3. Your selected items will display.  If relevant, click the 'Select all' checkbox. Note: you can only export up to 50 records at a time.
  4. Select the 'Export' option on the right.
  5. A list of services will now appear - the 'Direct Export to EndNote Web' should be selected.
  6. Click 'Save'.
  7. [Depending on your browser, a popup window may appear, e.g. delivery (33).ris]
  8. Go to EndNote Online.
  9. Select the 'My References' tab to view the records. Note: if accessing for the first time, you will need to select the "Hide Getting Started Guide" to see your references.
