Module Resource Lists - guide for academic staff

Guidance on how to edit, manage and share your Module Resource Lists.

Request scans of articles, extracts or chapters

Staff can use the Module Resource List system to request scans of articles, book chapters or book extracts.

  • Add the 'Scan Request' tag to the item you would like to request. This tag will not be visible to students.
  • If you would like to request a chapter or extract scan from a book, please use the 'Public Note' section to indicate which chapter or sections you would like students to read.
  • Scan requests will be checked to make sure they comply with copyright guidelines. As long as this is the case, a PDF scan will be created and a link will be added directly to the item on the reading list.

  • If you would like support with adding chapters and articles to your list, or have any queries, contact CLAScan@uws.ac.uk.

Request items to purchase

The same system can be used to ask Library staff to purchase a title.

  • Once an item is in your list, click 'Add Tag' and select 'Purchase Request'. This tag will not be visible to students.
  • Add another tag indicating the importance level of the requested resource - if none is selected, the Library will process these as further reading.
  • The request will then be sent to the Library team to assess.
