Emerald Insight contains full-text articles and abstracts for a range of subjects within business, finance, tourism, marketing and health and social care.
Use Emerald Insight to find:
Instead of typing full sentences or questions like you would in Google, think of the most important words that describe what you're looking for (e.g. fashion retailing). You should also try and think of other words people might use to describe the same idea. Enter these in the search box and click on the magnifying glass icon to search.
Use the filters on the right-hand side of the results page to refine your search by year of publication or content type (e.g. case studies only). Select 'Only content I have access to' to make sure all of your results have full PDF articles attached.
The Advanced Search option gives you extra search techniques to help you find relevant articles quickly.
You can combine all of these options to create an advanced search. The Advanced Search option on Emerald Insight creates these boxes for you.
We don't have access to everything on Emerald Insight. If you only want to find full PDFs, run your search and click 'Only content I have access to' on the right-hand side of the results page.
Even if we don't subscribe to the article, it might be available for free online. Use Google Scholar to search for the article title. If it's freely available, the result will include a PDF or HTML link.
You may also be able to get the article by requesting an Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
