The Wee Read Libraries (WRL) are brought to you by UWS Library. These are collections of free books for everyone to take away to read, keep, pass on, or return for someone else to enjoy. Unlike the books in the UWS Library collection, a Wee Read Library can be used without having to issue any items to your Library account. You may have heard about or used something similar called an Honesty Library.
You will find a Wee Read Library on each campus, each one is stocked with a wide-range of books including autobiographies, cook books, crime, fiction and romance.
If you are finished reading a book, pass it on to someone else or take it back to the Wee Read Library on any campus and leave it on the shelf for someone else to enjoy. If you have other books to share, we welcome donations.
For larger book donations, please contact Gillian Dawson (gillian.dawson@uws.ac.uk)
'Isn't it odd how much fatter a book gets when you've read it several times? As if something were left between the pages every time you read it. Feelings, thoughts, sounds, smells and then, when you look at the book again many years later, you find yourself there too, a slightly younger self, as if the book had preserved you like a pressed flower, both strange and familiar.'
Cornelia Funke
