Please see the guidance below if you are a lecturer and wish to embed any resources, e.g. the full text of a book chapter, in your teaching materials.
When to place a request
Please request a scan for the following items as copyright restrictions may apply:
- Book held in library stock
- Document with copyright statement (except for those marked CC-BY)
- Journal article that is accessible via subscription or password
Staff will check permissions and advise accordingly.
The Scanning team will
Our team will process the request.
If copyright permissions are in place,
you will receive a link to the chapter from the CLA Digital Content Store which you can then upload to the module site.
If not, staff will advise on conditions or alternative courses of action.
Class details
For each item, please provide module and other class details:
- Your Name
- Staff Number
- Department / School
- Module Title
- Module Code
- Number of students
Item details required
Please also provide the following details for each item, e.g.:
Request for Book Chapters / Extracts
- Title
- Author
- Publication Year / Edition
- ISBN
- Title of Chapter
- Pages
Request for a Journal Article
- Article Title
- Article Author
- Journal Title
- Publication Year
- Volume Number
- Issue Number
- Page numbers
