Academic Librarians provide a link between UWS Library and academic schools, staff, and students.
We support and respond to the learning, teaching and research needs of the University and help its members dream, believe and achieve their academic goals through the provision of high quality, innovative and user-focused library services informed by policies that are clear, fair and transparent.
Linsey Sutherland
BA (Hons) PGDip
Academic Librarian for the School of Computing, Engineering & Physical Sciences at University of the West of Scotland.
I have worked as an Academic Librarian (or similar role) in Higher Education for over thirty years and the thing that I enjoy most is helping Library users make the most out of using the Library during their time at University of the West of Scotland.
I am usually based at the Paisley Campus but, due to Covid 19, am currently working between home and on campus. My usual hours of work are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm although these may vary slightly at the moment.
Please contact me if you wish to make an individual (one-to-one) appointment for guidance, help or support with using UWS Library resources and/or services.
I am also happy to arrange small group appointments, seminars or tutorials.
Please contact me to arrange formal classes.
